The essence of Healthcare is giving care. This requires patience of a saint, understanding of Mother Theresa, and a work ethic parallel to Thomas Edison or Henry Ford. There must be a higher calling to serve others, other than money. We see people when they feel the worst they ever have, when they are going through life transitions, when they are in pain and discomfort, and when they are facing extreme uncertainty. As healthcare workers we have an opportunity to comfort and bring an optimal experience for our patients and and family. This presentation will focus on the best practices that keep this goal and intention in mind.
